Claybank, West End hospitals re-opens

Breaking News… Premier Service Medical Investments (PSMI) has reopened its flagship hospitals, Claybank (Gweru) and West End (Harare) after nurses, doctors and staff returned to work this morning.

Nurses and Staff were paid all their outstanding salaries this week and are expecting to receive more money next week.

PSMI spokesperson, Mr Obey Nhakura confirmed the development saying the organization received a ZWL$4 billion bail-out from the government and was happy that almost all workers are now back at work.

“I am happy that Claybank hospital staff are now back at work and ready to assist patients. We are still assessing the situation at West End to see if all the doctors will return to work by end of the week. But basically, everything is going back to normal at the hospitals,” said Nhakura.

When The Sun news crew visited Claybank hospital, nurses and other staff members were in a jovial mood, saying they were ready to serve patients after receiving their dues.

“We have been given almost all the money we are owed, and we are happy to be back at work. Already we have two patients admitted and expect more by the end of the week,” said the nurses.
