The Brotherhood of the Cross and Star (BCS) has celebrated 25 years in Zimbabwe, with the Holy Father officially launching the organization’s silver jubilee celebrations in Harare.
The celebrations took place at the Shingirirai Conference Centre in Waterfalls, Harare, under the theme “Revitalizing Our Faith in the Heavenly Universal Monarch.”
The event brought together members and well-wishers to commemorate the sect’s establishment in the country.

This milestone marks a quarter-century of the church’s mission to spread the Everlasting Gospel associated with its spiritual leader, Leader Olumba Olumba Obu. The event highlighted the organization’s teachings on love, salvation, and unity—central components of its religious mission.

During the anniversary celebrations, Hetty Scott-Denness spoke about the significance of this milestone: “The 25th anniversary is an important milestone for the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star in Zimbabwe, reflecting our journey of spiritual growth, service, and the spreading of the message of love and salvation.”

PCS Cecilia Duke addressed the establishment of the organization in Zimbabwe, stating, “The establishment of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star in Zimbabwe marked the beginning of a journey of faith and spiritual growth, guided by the teachings of Leader Olumba Olumba Obu and the message of love, unity, and salvation.”

Solomon Okon, the Holy Father’s representative, discussed the theme of oneness, while Tony Molade advised members during the celebrations. The church’s teachings emphasize humility, patience, tolerance, and forgiveness, with love as a guiding principle for both religious and social relations.

“The Cross means bearing one another’s burdens without complaining,” said Solomon Okon, explaining that the cross symbolizes the importance of tolerating others and supporting one another.
As BCS Zimbabwe celebrates its silver jubilee, members and supporters worldwide are encouraged to join in commemorating this milestone and spreading the church’s message of love and salvation. The anniversary offers members an opportunity to reflect on the organization’s 25-year journey in Zimbabwe and renew their commitment to its teachings.

To celebrate its 25th anniversary, the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star also extended its charitable work to Edith Clinic in Mbare, donating essential items for newborns to mothers who recently gave birth.

This donation was part of a week-long program of community initiatives, medical outreach, sporting activities, and spiritual teachings, reflecting the church’s emphasis on faith, love, unity, and support for vulnerable community members.
