Her victory has been described as an inspirational achievement, particularly given the challenges she has faced while growing up without her parents.
Receiving her price of Hisense 43inch Smart TV from Wackdrive Group Makuve expressed appreciation for the support and recognition she received following her crowning.
Her story has added a strong human-interest dimension to her success, as she has demonstrated that difficult circumstances do not necessarily have to determine a person’s future.
Shalom Makuve went on to say that she would like to take part in any charities that will help the vulnerables.
“In terms of Charity works i.would like to donate, clothes, pads and many others to homes and schools in the Province. I was brought up by the Midlands Hope Center. I believe charity starts at home.”
Her achievement has also placed her in a position to become a role model to young people who may be facing difficult circumstances in their own lives.
The prize was presented by Wackdrive Group Projects Coordinator Pamela Shumba further highlighted the role that businesses can play in supporting young people and recognising achievements within their communities.
“To be part of Miss Gweru it is.not all about Beauty but rather about uplifting the girl child a’d making sure that they leave a mark wherever they go.”

Speaking during the prize giving ceremony Mavis Koslek the Miss Gweru organizer thanked all the organizers who made the event this year.possible these includes Wackdrive Group, Mahogany, The City of Gweru,The village Lodges and many other sponsors.
