16year old celebrates Midlands talent through awards

A form three pupil from Chaplin High School, Farai Chigumbu has founded Midlands Teens Arts Awards (MTAA) aimed at honoring local talent through awards.

Inspired by Bulawayo Arts Awards (BAA) and NAMA, Chigumbu founded MTAA with the support of his brother Ernest Chigumbu, Takudzwa Goboza, Miss Mitchel, another anonymous co-founder and the other one known as The House of Greatness.
Besides the six MTAA co-founders behind them rallies Mastermind media and Earground media houses whose social media pages will be used as voting platforms.

The participants to be nominated will comprise of almost every art category including music, poetry, and theatre aging from 13 years to 24 years with the idea of those around 18years to 24years to stand a second chance of being nominated again since they are pioneers of the MTAA.

According to an insider leaked available nominations with a large fan base this include a song titled ‘wall street’ by MFG featuring Q Young Cee for the best collaboration and ‘Vanhu ava‘ by MFG as best song of the year which once made noise on local radio stations.

The voting will start on the 28th of December 2020 to the 20th of January 2021 with the grand finale of the awards ceremony taking place on the 30th of January 2021 at a venue still to be announced.
