Gweru barber Brighton Chikaka Kurwa from the Zvimba- Gushungo clan, and a Robert Mugabe look-alike who recently announced his intention to contest as Zimbabwe for Excellence Development Patriotic Front (ZED PF) presidential candidate in the upcoming 2023 harmonized elections, has made a u-turn and endorsed G-40 candidate Saviour Kasukuwere.
Kurwa, a well-known upmarket barber in the city recently shocked many after his announcement to run for President, said in a video clip to his supporters that his party’s executive sat down and looked at all Presidential candidates and noticed that Kasukuwere was among those in the race.
“We as the national executive noted that Kasukuwere’s promises and vision for the country were in agreement with our own. We agreed that we mustn’t be hungry for power but endorse him and give our support to his candidature,” said Kurwa.
ZED PF claims to have party structures in nine provinces and a strong membership from ward level called upon all Zimbabweans to support the G40 candidate Saviour Kasukuwere.
Kasukuwere who has been living outside Zimbabwe for more than 3 years registered to run for President as an independent in the August elections. #The Sun
