Two Missing Persons in Kwekwe

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) in Kwekwe is appealing for information regarding two missing male persons, Aleco Hunyenyiwa and Ishmael Mamvura.

In a statement, Midlands Police Spokesperson inspector Emmanuel Mahoko provided details of Aleco Hunyenyiwa and Ishmael Mamvura’s disappearance and dates.

Aleco Hunyenyiwa (27) of Mukewa Farm, Tore area in Kwekwe went missing on 12 January 2021, after a misunderstanding with a friend at Masaga shops.

He was last seen running towards Kwekwe River wearing a faded black jean with a green NIKE label, black T-shirt and black tennis shoes with white soles.

Ishmael Mamvura (19) of Sunny Side residential suburbs, Kwekwe, disappeared on 9 January 2019, after expressing a desire to become an artisanal miner instead of attending school at Tavanevhu Secondary School.

It is suspected that he dropped out and went to unknown mining areas around the country.
However, despite the efforts done to locate them, both individuals remain unaccounted for hence police urge anyone with information which can help locate these missing persons to contact Inspector Nyandoro at ZRP Kwekwe Rural on 05525 22210 or 0713 894 913.

Alternatively, information can be reported at any nearest police station, through suggestion boxes, hotlines, or the ZRP WhatsApp number 0712 800 197.

The public’s assistance is crucial in locating Aleco and Ishmael and bringing closure to their families.
