Conrad Tongogara, the son of the late ZANLA Commander General Josiah Magama Tongogara who died on Monday, will be buried on Thursday at Huston farm in Gweru, The Sun has learnt.
The family spokesperson, Tichafa Tongogara told The Sun, that Conrad’s body will be ferried to Gweru tomorrow (Wednesday) and will be buried at his farm on Thursday.
He will be buried at Huston Farm, the farm is located at the right turn-off just after the first Tollgate (along Gweru-Kwekwe road) and then it’s a 10km dust road drive to the farm.
On Thursday proceedings will start at 9:30hrs and burial will be before 1 pm in the afternoon.
President Emmerson Mnangagwa, Vice President Constantino Chiwenga and the Minister of Défense Cde Oppah Muchinguri Kashiri visited the Tongogara family home in Harare this morning to pass their condolences.
Named after his gallant father, Josiah Conrad Tongogara is popular for giving 15 hectares of land to the Mugodhi Apostolic church.
On 11 November 2020, the Mugodhi Church received land from Conrad, partitioned from Huston farm Lower Gweru and the deeds were put in the church’s name. #The Sun
