Thornhill High School Head dies

Thornhill High School headmaster Mr Solomon Mukora  Mazvazva has died.  He passed away this morning around 6 am, at Gweru General Hospital.

 SDC Chairperson Mr Tirivangani Chipondeni confirmed the passing away of the headmaster, after a short illness.

“It is with great sorrow to confirm the passing away of our beloved leader at Thornhill High School. On Monday we talked and he informed me of his illness and the following morning was admitted at Claybank Hospital, but was transferred to Gweru General Hospital,” said the SDC chairman.

Mazvazva was born on the 2nd of February 1980 and went to Mzilikazi High School in 1999 for his Advanced level studies. 

In 2003, he went to Hillside Teachers College for his Diploma in Education In 2006 he did his Bachelor of Educational Planning and Policy Studies at Zimbabwe Open University (ZOU).

He was the school Head at Hebron High School in Mwenezi Masvingo Province in April 2009, he did his Bachelor of Education History for Secondary School Teaching at Great Zimbabwe University (GZU).

In 2017 Mazvazva became a History lecturer at Midlands State University in the Department of Applied Education.

  Since 2017 until his passing away he was the School head at Thornhill High School.
