TelOne FC’s Herbert Maruwa aims for premier league glory

In a determined bid to elevate TelOne FC’s status in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League, head coach Herbert Maruwa has outlined his ambitious goal to challenge for the top position in the upcoming season.

Since taking the helm, Maruwa has made significant strides, leading the team from a 10th-place finish to an impressive 5th last season, and he is now poised to propel the club to new heights.

As preparations for the new campaign intensify, TelOne FC has undergone a substantial reshuffle. In a bold move, the club has parted ways with six players, including last season’s top scorer, Washington Navaya.

In contrast, Maruwa has welcomed a fresh influx of talent, signing standout players such as Takudzwa Chikosi, Edmore Mawere, Innocent Muchaneka, and Jerry Chipangura.

These new recruits are anticipated to reinforce the squad and impact the team’s performance positively.

“Our reshaping process has been strategic,” Maruwa stated in a recent press conference.
“We have released about six players, including Washington Navaya, and brought in new faces like Takudzwa Chikosi, Chelsea Nyakope, Edmore Mawere, Innocent Muchaneka, and Jerry Chipangura. These changes are vital for our objective to challenge for the league title.”

Despite the upheaval within the squad, Maruwa exudes confidence in his revamped team.

He believes that the integration of new players will foster a competitive edge, transforming TelOne into genuine title contenders.

“We are focused on rising higher in the league standings, and our new recruits, along with a clear vision, will help us achieve that,” he added.

Maruwa promised the fans an electrifying season with the new signings.

“Our fans should watch out for a magnificent season this year with our new WiFi Boys.”

With Maruwa’s strategic direction and the club’s fresh talent, the WiFi Boys are gearing up to make a significant impact in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League, which is set to commence next week.

As the season approaches, the TelOne FC community, including fans and stakeholders, eagerly anticipates how this transformation will unfold on the pitch.
