Tanesha flaunts Red Light to GBV

Local based Afro dancehall female artist Tinotenda Lionda Zimuto popularly known as Tanesha Red has redressed an agent hault to gender based violence as Gweru records more than 55 murders pertaining the issue.

The Zimbabwe Demographic Health Survey (ZDHS)indicates that, in Zimbabwe approximately one in three women aged 15-49 years has experienced physical violence and sexual violence.

 Tanesha Red reminisces her past experience with her high school mate victimised by gender based violence.

The female maestro ostentatiously corroborated the effects of gender based violence on the girl child.

“She had so many temperamental problems be it to other students, even to teachers she would just walk out during lessons” uttered Tanesha Red.

Gender based violence is a hard core striker mostly to young women.

Generally, police reports are faithful that suicides and homicides are familiar in society since depression snatches away victimised souls of gender based violence.

As in cases on trial, Gweru High Court judge Evangelista Kabasa expressed her concern “The statistics of 2023 and this first quarter reflect the ugly scourge of gender based violence”

Tanesha Red behested that parents and guardians of children should always spare an ear to their children’s silent cries. “GBV is real, its a daily routine in our flashy lives.Older people, young girls and the disabled in our community are vulnerable  and may experience higher rates of violence in closed doors” said the afro dancehall artist.

The Gweru melodist assured to continue spreading gender based violence awareness in the country on her pre-released project. She stands firm for the voiceless as she sets to deliver feminine golden lyrics.

“They say the greatest power of a society is in the way it treats its weakness and today we have to work together in ending GBV in our societies!” laudably vowed Tanesha Red #TheSun
