Sheasham Football Club is confident that they will beat Dynamos FC on Sunday as the two team square up in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League at Bata Stadium.
The Construction Boys recently edged FC Platinum 1-0 in their previous league game but still remained in the relegation zone on the premiership standing while Dynamos are fresh from a goalless draw with Hwange FC.
Coach Lizwe Sweswe said everything looks good in terms of preparations despite losing to Black Rhinos on penalties in their previous match in the Chibuku Cup.
‘’It’s not all about Dynamos, it’s about every game which we play and how we prepare. Every game is important and so far so good in terms of preparations.
‘’This is my fifth game and we are trying by all means to make sure that we maintain our status in the premier league. To our supporters, we need their backup because sometimes it’s very important to have their backup and we appreciate their support and we promise to do better in each and every game which we are going to play.
‘We know we are playing with the big team and we would like our fans to come in numbers to cheer on our boys.
Although he could not be drawn into revealing his starting lineup, Sweswe is likely to retain the same team that played Black Rhinos in the previous Chibuku Cup match and he said there are no injury concerns.
Sweswe said even though they have recently produced good results in the league they need to continue winning games to get out of the relegation zone.
“I think what is needed is just to believe and have confidence in the team. Looking at the points and where we are we just need to win one or two games to move out of the relegation zone and so far what is important is to deal with each game.
The newly arrived striker Hilary Obi Bakacheza from Wangu Mazodze FC in division one said there is nothing special about Dynamos.
‘’There is nothing special about Dynamos. I have engaged them on many different occasions. They are not the best team in Zimbabwe. I have played for FC Platinum and we have beaten them several times. Dynamos is just an ordinary team just like Black Rhinos and Chicken Inn, said Bakacheza.
He went on to say that as players they are not worried about relegation but their main aim is not to drop points in the league.
‘’We are not thinking about relegation, what we don’t want is to lose points, that’s what’s important to us, relegation comes after the match is over.
Bakacheza said that as a new player in the team, he has faced challenges earlier but they are now in the past and his focus is to achieve the main goal of coming to Sheasham as he plays his fourth game for the club.
‘’I came here for a reason, that is to revive my career and help youngsters and senior guys to achieve our goals and not to drop points.
