Murderer fakes mental illness

In a stunning turn of events, an accused murderer, 37 year old Emmanuel Mahembe appeared before a High court Judge initially claiming mental instability only to revert to normalcy minutes after the court proved that he was faking his illness.

Emmanuel Mahembe charged with the crime of murder of Patricia Mutero and Idah Chigumbate walked into the court room exhibiting erratic behavior, mumbling incoherently and struggling to maintain eye contact with the judge.

Defense council requested a psychiatric evaluation, citing concerns about Emmanuel Mahembe‘s mental fitness to stand trial, prosecutor objected arguing that Mugabe’s behavior was a blatant attempt to deceive the court.

Two witnesses from the Zimbabwe Republic Police Jerry Majoni and Vincent Pepuke, testified that Emmanuel Mahembe showed no signs of mental instability in the days leading up to the murder of Patricia Mutero And Idah Chigumbata Jerry Majoni noted “I know the accused person not only in connection with this case but as a local person.”

Emmanuel Mahembe was perfectly fine during the investigations and did not show any signs of mental illness Vincent Pepuke corroborated, “when we asked him questions he seemed normal and answered them well and did not show any signs mental illness.”

After 10 mins recess, Emmanuel Mahembe returned to the court room suddenly composed and articulate.

The Judge visibly perplexed asked Emmanuel Mahembe to explain his earlier behavior.
Emmanuel Mahema claimed he had not taken his medication and was experiencing a momentary lapse.
