Since her childhood, she has always been passionate about modelling which has seen her breaking the odds. As one may wonder how the young model is managing to keep herself sturdy in the race, Danai secretly opened up on how praying has been her key pillar of strength.
“I always give my work to the Lord for he is the author and finisher of my life, with a word of prayer I feel strengthened despite the hardship which comes my way.

“I get my inspiration from my mother, she is a woman who always sacrifices a lot for me. Describing her in a few words I can say she is strong, humble, patient, loving and supportive,” said Chigama.
It is this same nature from her mother of putting others first that is pushing her to give back to the community. Through Sustainable Development Goal(SDG) number 4 that talks of quality education, she has managed to come up with initiatives to empower youths on the importance of education and educational rights, as she awaits the completion of her “A” level studies this year at Thornhill High School.

After being crowned Miss Midlands 2021, one can notice that Chigama has become a role model figure to her schoolmates and neighbours at large. This has seen her breaking the critical attitude on the profession of modelling by proving how responsible and influential models are in society.
“Not all models are into drugs or are anti-social elements, some are clean and very sober people working towards the fight against drug abuse in the society.

“My aim is to give back to my community by reaching out to the orphans as well as people with disabilities (PwDs). As we are approaching the festive season it is my humble prayer that we also give a befitting Christmas present to these people,” she added.

Lighting up on her future aspirations, Chigama expressed her dream of becoming an air hostess.
“I see myself as an

Besides modelling and advocacy, the newly crowned supermodel has come out to express her love for books and music.

“I love reading and singing although it is a gift which is miles away from me, I want my fellow peers to embrace their gifts, make use of them because we are gifted differently and destined for greatness only if one realizes his or her abilities.” ,Chigama said.
