Mimosa donates fire truck

Mimosa Mining Company has recently donated a state of the art fire truck to the City of Gweru.
The fire tender which is a specialized fire foam fighting vehicle, is a SINO truck comprised of special components such as a 5000 litre capacity, 7 lines of hose, high pressure pump, sledge hammer and a crowbar among other things.
The new 5000 litre truck comes as a major boast to the fire department that responses to fire emergences and related incidents the Midlands province, some parts of Masvingo and Matebeleland as it is instructed by the Civil protection Act 10:06.
Officially handing over the tender to the City of Gweru was the Minister of State for Provincial Affairs in Midlands, Cde Owen Ncube.
Min. Ncube thanked the mining company and highlighted the importance of having partners like Mimosa in aiding development.
“I would like to sincerely thank Mimosa Mining Company for this wonderful and timely donation”,
Currently Mimosa Mining Company is functioning under a Zero Harm is Possible awareness motto and Hon. Ncube further endorsed this motto adding that it is achievable.
“The arrival of the Mimosa Mining Company’s state of the art fire tender should help strengthen the City’s civil protection and mitigate against the loss of human life and properties during fire outbreaks and other disasters” he added.
The Minister ensured Mimosa Mining Company that the department will even strive to do more in saving the lives and property of the people and also help attain the city’s vision of becoming a Sustainable Prosperous City of Choice by 2030.
The Minister also hailed Mimosa Mining Company for successfully executing its social corporate responsibility and urged other stakeholders to copy exemplary behavior.
