This year’s four-day edition is running under the theme: Strategic Innovation for EconomicGrowth. Mrs Chikukwa went on to say that a business conference will be held at a local hotel on the first day which will make sure that each sector gets time to interact with best speakers as well as share knowledge.
“A business conference will be held at Fairmile Regency Group Hotel on the first day. We expect the sector to interact in a free environment where best speakers from industry, commerce, and other sectors are expected to share their knowledge.”
“This year’s show is going to be different and better than before, we are expecting to have more exhibitors than ever before. This is a brilliant opportunity for exhibitors to showcase and parade their products.”
Chikukwa said that with this year’s edition, they are expecting enough platforms to collaborate and contribute towards economic development. She promised exhibitors, families and the corporate world a bustling business and entertainment extravaganza at this year’s show.
“We are anticipating that this year’s edition of the business exhibition will give businesses enough platform to collaborate and come up with solutions that will help contribute towards economic development.”
The event creates opportunities for collaborations between different stakeholders in the agricultural value chain, leading to increased productivity, profitability, and growth in the sector.
Some of the significant exhibitors who have registered so far for this year’s edition are Moonlight, Bata Shoe Company, Traffic Safety Council of Zimbabwe (TSCZ), and Midlands Metals.
The first Gweru Agricultural Show was held in 1898, making it one of the oldest agricultural shows in Zimbabwe. It began as a small event organized by the local farming community to showcase their livestock and agricultural products. Over the years, the show has grown in size and scope, and it is now one of the largest and most important agricultural events in Zimbabwe.
Until today the Midlands Agricultural Show provides several benefits to businesses and exhibitors. Firstly, it provides a platform for businesses and organizations to showcase their products and services to a broad audience.
Exhibitors can use the event to launch new products, make sales, and network with others in the industry. Secondly, the show helps promote Zimbabwe’s agricultural sector and raise awareness about the importance of sustainable farming practices.
