Camelot High School is beaming with pride after its Form 1 student, Lucky Dube, made a remarkable achievement in the karate world.
Representing Zimbabwe and his school at the African Union Sports Council Region 5 (AUSC) Karate Championship in Durban, South Africa, Lucky clinched a bronze medal, bringing glory to his nation and institution.
The AUSC Karate Championship, held May 22-27, 2025, saw talented athletes from across the region converge to showcase their skills.
Lucky’s impressive performance earned him a podium finish, a testament to his dedication and prowess in karate.
Camelot High School hosted a ceremony to celebrate Lucky’s achievement upon his return. The event was attended by esteemed guests, including parents, relatives, students, staff members, Head Primary School, Senior Teacher Primary School, Sports and Recreation Commission Provincial Manager Mr. S. Masaka, and Board Member for Education Mr. H. Maziriri.
During the ceremony, Lucky was awarded the school’s highest honor – the colours badge in Karate.
