Logo Cert, a Gweru-based organization specializing in graphic design and web design, is empowering underprivileged young people in urban and rural areas with entrepreneurial skills to sustain themselves.
The initiative is currently teaching young people between the ages of 18 and 35 how to produce visually compelling design logos, flyers, and the required business acumen required to start up a business.
Speaking to this reporter Logo cert director Simbarashe Chitsa said that he was passionate about seeing the lives of young people uplifted through imparting life changing skills that they can monetize and earn an income.
“Identity is everything in a business young people might have the idea but sometimes they fail to brand themselves as you would realize that someone is running a business but does not even have a logo to identify themselves with hence, I realized this loophole in many businesses and as an experienced graphic designer I decided to share my knowledge skills,” he said.
Chitsa said that he had noted with concern the continued rise in youth unemployment as well as drug and substance abuse and was taking a positive stance to combat such issues.
The aim is to foster a vibrant ecosystem that encourages and supports young individuals to transform their businesses into high-impact and scalable enterprises.
He said the organization aims to help young people achieve their dreams through entrepreneurship.
Logo cert recognizes the multi-dimensional and intersectional challenges faced by young entrepreneurs and seeks to address them through integrated interventions organized along three pillars.
“In today’s rapidly evolving world, the need for entrepreneurial talent has never been greater. The Logo cert youth Entrepreneurship activity recognizes the immense potential of young visionaries and understands the critical role they play in shaping the future,” said Chitsa.
Meanwhile, logo cert provides comprehensive services that enable businesses to secure their logos and protect their brand identity offering a range of tools and techniques that monitor enforce and defend the branding of a business against infringement while empowering business owners to protect their brand and mitigate the risks associated with copying and plagiarism.
