Gweru’s popular upcoming artiste Lazarous Masauso whose stage name is Lazie Lazer is set to release his latest album early next month titled True reflections.
The multi-tracked album will introduce Gweru music lovers to a new genre of music that fuses Reggae and contemporary rhythms to produce what Lazie Lazer calls culture music in his artistic nomenclature.
Lazie Lazer is one artist who has mastered the art of Reggae music and his song “life inenge vhiri”, is one of the most played songs on the airwaves at the moment.
The innovative musician kickstarted his musical journey in the mining town of Zvishavane where he was born and bred. Lazie Lazer and friends formed their record label called LazieLazer and the specialist records, the outfit has grown to be a recognizable brand within the Zimbabwean music industry.
His Music is a mix of Reggae and Afro-contemporary music to come up with what he describes as Culture Music.
“My music is so much inspired by artists like Zig Zag band, Jah bless, Man Soul Jah, Morgan Heritage, Adele and Jah cure” said Masauso.
The “life inenge vhiri ” hitmaker is working on an album titled True Reflections and is working with a number of producers from Gweru.
“All my fans must be ready for my new album (True Reflections) and I am looking forward to doing a lot of lives shows”, Lazer said.
The talented musician is both a vocalist and a guitarist which makes his live performances unique and worth following. Besides performing Lazer is also a songwriter and spoken word artist who gives motivational speeches LazieLazer is ready to take on the world with his sweet melody sound regardless of race or language his music reaches out to music lovers across the globe.
LazieLazer first came into the spotlight with the track Chido which was produced by MOB ENT in Harare and he has never looked back.
His other contributions like Kumusha produced by Quazor a life inenge vhiri produced by Star at mid music have earned him respect within the musical fraternity.
Lazie describes his working experience with Star as a learning experience that he has enjoyed.
“Working with Star is a different experience, he is a perfectionist who knows music such that when we make music we are all in sync, he said”
“He is good with a live instrument such that coming up with the songs is easy and I would love to work with him on many projects because he understands music,” he said.
The vhiri hitmaker says he has not ventured into collaborations with other artists yet but his wish is to do songs with Ras Mega and Man Soul Jah amongst other reggae greats.” #The Sun
