With a deep understanding of her heritage and a passion for promoting Zimbabwe’s values, Courtney Tadiwanashe Jongwe is poised to make a lasting impression at the Miss World 2025 Pageant, which is scheduled for 31 May 2025 in Telangana.
Speaking ahead of her departure, Jongwe shared her excitement and gratitude.
“I am thrilled to represent Zimbabwe. I cannot wait to showcase the beauty, strength, and culture of Zimbabwe at a global level.”
My participation in this year’s colourful pageant is a runway for purpose, patriotism and power. I want to thank Zimbabweans for the love and support as I embark on this incredible journey.
”Miss World Zimbabwe went on to explain how she has been getting herself ready for the pageant.”
“We have put in place different preparations in that regard, as we are regarded as beauty with a purpose.”
“This is when l do a social project where l give back to the community. Our focus is on mental health because as a student, l have seen so many of my friends who we started school with, they end up not finishing because they are now into drug and substance abuse.”
They are just so stressed, they can’t cope with the pressures of life, so l started working on a mental health project, and we have so much progress in that regard.
”The second thing we work on is sports. We have a sports challenge and we are working so much. We have been working with the fitness trainer and we are ready for the sports challenge.”
The other challenge is top model, l have been doing runways and practicing so we are ready for top model as well.
”Courtney is a Chemical and Processing Engineering student from Manicaland University of Applied Sciences, MSUAS and is known for her passion and drive. earned this national honour after being crowned Miss World Zimbabwe at a prestigious event held in Harare last year.”
Jongwe will be competing alongside over 100 contestants from around the world in one of the most celebrated international beauty pageants.
“Miss World is the oldest running global pageant, which was founded in 1951, renowned not only for celebrating beauty, but also for championing humanitarian work through its “Beauty with a Purpose’ initiative.”
