Gweru set to host thrilling “City 2 City” music extravaganza

Gweru will transform into a vibrant hub of music and celebration this Saturday, April 18,as it hosts the much-anticipated “City 2 City” show at the Gweru Sports Club.

Organized by local promoters Tapiwa Mapaike, popularly known as Mbazo, and Tafadzwa Magengezha, known as Empire Fitnsss, the event promises an electrifying atmosphere for music enthusiasts.

“We are excited to bring this show to life and expect a fantastic turnout,” said Tafadzwa.

“It will be a night of exhilarating performances.”

The lineup boasts a stellar collection of Zimbabwe’s top urban talents, featuring renowned artists such as Freeman HKD, Killer T, Enzo Ishall, and Master H.

Their high-energy performances will showcase a fusion of Zimdancehall, hip-hop, and Afrobeat, catering to fans from across the Midlands region.

In addition to headline acts, the night will include performances by local talent, emphasizing the importance of supporting Gweru’s own artists.

According to Tapiwa Mapaike, “we’re committed to uplifting local music. The stage will also feature performances from Oxygen, Baba Gweru, Skyper, Center Miles, Yung Saint, Duramu, Maki Wacho, Bling King, Janhgol, Potter, Bluechillzy, DJ SeanAndy, and DJ Fashionel,” ensuring non-stop entertainment throughout the event.

Tickets are affordably priced, with Standard tickets available for $10, VIP for $20, and VVIP for $50. They can be purchased at Chicken Slice and Studio X. Attendees are reminded that outside alcohol will not be permitted.

This event forms part of Gweru’s Independence Day celebrations, promising a memorable evening of music, dance, and community spirit.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early to secure their spots for what is poised to be one of Gweru’s biggest live shows of the year.
