The engines are tuned, the tires are primed and excitement is building across the Midlands Province as the much-anticipated Midlands Burnouts Gweru Mayor’s Cheerfund 2nd Edition gears up for another adrenaline-charged showdown, set to take place today (Saturday) the 13th of December 2025 at the iconic Gweru Showgrounds.
The event promises a thrilling fusion of motorsport spectacle and community spirit, all in support of the Gweru Mayor’s Cheer fund,, a charitable initiative aimed at uplifting vulnerable families during and after festive season.
The colorful promotional artwork features several performers and entertainers who are billed to headline the event.
Among those advertised are musicians and artists such as Leo Maggoz, Bling 4, Voltz JT, and Silent Killer promising a strong musical lineup to compliment the high energy burnout displays.
A variety of spinners, including Raza, Baba Love, Damien, Sameer, King Dee, Saviour, and Team Gho,st are also set to thrill fans with their driving skills.
Gate fee is set at US$5 before 3 pm and US$10 thereafter, while cooler boxes will pay US$10.
Advance tickets are available at all local outle,ts including pharmacies and shops around Gweru.
Organizers noted that every dollar raised will contribute to the Mayor’s ongoing efforts to assist vulnerable families around the city.
With free Wi-Fi sponsored by Liquid and various local brands supporting the programme, the Midlands burnouts are expected to draw large crowds of motorists, music lovers and families looking forward for an afternoon of entertainment with purpose.
