Chikumbiro Primary School pupil, Parsley Sithole (10) is seeking urgent financial assistance to undergo heart surgery in India as soon as possible.
Parsley, who is in her 4th grade is suffering from a heart condition which causes her stomach to swell hence she is unable to walk properly in addition to having difficulties in eating and sleeping because of the pain.
In an Interview, a Chikumbiro primary school staff member, Mrs Kesina Dera confirmed that Parsley’s urgent need for assistance as her condition was preventing her from attending school.
“Her mother, Abigail Sibanda came one day to school carrying her as she is not able to walk due to the swelling that is how we knew the condition Parsley was in”.
A local doctor referred her case to India for treatment and the costs are estimated at US$15000 to US$20000.
Due to the fact that her mother is a widow she is not able to raise such amounts hence the appeal to everyone who can assist to kindly do so, so that Parsley would be able to get the treatment she needs and be able to go back to school and not have to suffer like she is doing right now, “she said.
