GURA elects new Chairman

Gweru United Residents Association (GURA) has elected Charles Rutsate as its new chairman to replace Sebastian Dube who passed away recently.
Mr Rutsate a resident of Shamrock Park was elected by 36 members representing 18 wards who were entitled to make decisions on behalf of GURA.
Before his election, Mr Charles Rutsate was a committee member of the association.
Rutsate is quite confident that all the grievances that will come his way are going to be solved and promises to lobby council to provide good service delivery to the residents of Gweru.
”What I am promising residents is that all their grievances are going to be met and that we have to communicate through all our sections, so that we liaise with the council, ”said Rutsate.
Rutsate ‘s election was welcomed by other Gura members who include, Secretary General Reward Mhuri, Memory Chitiyo Treasurer and Mr Jabulani Dimingo Vice Secretary.
”Mr Rutsate was the Chief advisor to Mr Dube, in all the meetings that were done Mr Rutsate was involved, that’s why he is there to stand for us as residents of Gweru and we are deeply humbled, ”added Dimingo.
