First Mutual Life Assurance opens Gweru branch

Blessing Nduku
First Mutual Life Assurance Company has opened its Gweru branch funeral parlor as one of its mandates to spread its footprints in Zimbabwe.
Speaking to this reporter First Mutual Funeral Services Consultant Hillary Mutandwa said they were also seeking to spread their services around neighboring cities like Kwekwe and other communities in the Midlands Province.

“This branch is meant not only to serve Gweru residents but also to serve Kwekwe and the surrounding areas. Besides health services, we also offer financial and funeral services in terms of policies. We also hope the services we offer will help the bereaved in times of mourning even after,” he said.

The company with other branches in Harare, Bulawayo, Karoi, Masvingo, Mutare, and Mutoko says it has managed to set up branches in bigger cities.
Mutandwa said the policies will be paid from as little as USD 3.76 and that it can also be paid in USD and ZIG.

“We look forward to providing economic dignity for all including the Gweru community and Midlands Province as a whole. Some of the services that are going to be offered by the company include washing, dressing the deceased, reconstruction Embalming, and Chapel among other services”

The Current Cash Plan policy holders will have the option to access the services based on their policy value at the time of claiming.
First Mutual Life Assurance Company first launched its funeral services in Harare in 2019 and aims to open other branches in Chivhu, Mvurwi, and Beitbridge.
