With efforts to improve education infrastructure, the ED Mnangagwa state-of-the-art law school in Kwekwe, which is a branch of Midlands State University(MSU), is targeted for completion by the end of August 2025.
“The facility has an e-library and Moot Court, which empowers Law students with practical experience, research skills, oral advocacy, critical thinking, understanding court proceedings, and networking opportunities.
The Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Midlands Province Honourable, Owen Ncube, toured the law school.
“This tour aims to facilitate the swift and seamless completion of the remaining onsite and offsite scope of works by all contributing partners, including the local authority.”
“I urge Kwekwe City Council to expedite required road works with support from other Road Authorities, as well as other equally important offsite infrastructure development projects which include water and sewer reticulation systems and electricity supply through ZETDC.”
Hon Ncube called upon the District and State Occasions Committees to prepare for the MSU Graduation Ceremony, which will be hosted in September 2025 and will be commissioned by His Excellency.
“ I call upon both the District and State Occassion Committees to thoroughly prepare for the Graduation Ceremony and project commissioning in liaison with the Midlands State University. The two programmes will attract many people, hence the high economic ripple effect to the district and the province, as critical facilities such as accommodation, food, and transport will be in demand.”
Hon Ncube expressed his appreciation to everyone who is behind the project.
“The high standards being achieved here at E.D Mnangagwa symbolise His Excellency. I would like to commend all patriotic stakeholders who supported the E.D Mnangagwa law school project with essential building materials such as cement and bricks, among others.
