Ward 12 Councilor Jefta Zvidzai has taken a lead in promoting a clean and safe environment for members of his community so as to create an eco-friendly environment that will benefit the future generations.
With the assistance of his Development committee chair Everest Kaumba and deputy Catherine Mthambarika, the ward leader has significantly brought change to the community by engaging with organizations that deal with environmental cleanliness.
As a community we have partnered with EMA and the Zimbabwe Womens Bureau in our endeavor to enlighten our community on best ways of disposing sanitary wear and pampers,” said councilor Zvidzai.
He went on to encourage members of his ward to attend workshops that deal with their community to get enlightenment on the best ways to have and maintain a clean environment.
“I encourage all members of ward 12 to attend our workshops where we discuss service delivery issues as well as solid waste management”, he added.
Through clean up campaigns the ward committee believes that they are better and healthier in a smart environment.
Clr Zvidzai emphasized on the need for residents to interact with the communication channels that are there in order to be part of the initiative.
