City of Gweru’s acting Town Clerk, Mr. Livingstone Churu, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the residents and stakeholders for their continued support, which has resulted in revenue generation that helped acquire the vehicles and much-needed equipment.
“I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to the residents and stakeholders for their unwavering support. To our residents, I would like to thank you for your continued support and for generating revenue that has enabled us to acquire these vehicles being commissioned today.”
“Your contributions are vital to our efforts in delivering essential services to our community,” he added.
Churu also commended the stakeholders for their unity and quick response during the Hungwe bus accident.
“I am proud of the unity and quick response displayed by our stakeholders during the Hungwe bus accident. Your prompt action helped avert further loss of life, and it dem
onstrates the strength of our community when we work together.”
“I was happy to see our ambulance during the Independence Day celebrations, and council equipment also played a role in the Independence Day preparations and ensuring that the event was a success,” added Churu.
Lastly, Churu thanked the Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution for gracing the event despite his busy schedule.
“I would like to extend my gratitude to the Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution for taking time off his busy schedule to be with us today and officially commission these vehicles.”
Recent acquisitions also include a fire tender and ambulances, supporting healthcare and emergency services.
