Zimbabwe Association of Doctors for Human Rights (ZADHR) donated personal protective equipment (PPEs) to the City of Gweru worth thousands of dollars.

The donation included infrared thermometers,12 boxes of surgical face masks,150 units of reusable facemasks, face shields, caps, medical gowns, latex gloves, hand washing soap, methylated spirit, buckets and gumboots.
Gweru deputy mayor, Cllr Cleopas Shiri who received the donation said the personal protective equipment would go a long way to curb the spread of Covid-19 in the city.

“This will help council health workers who are the most exposed to make sure they are protected from the pandemic”
He also encouraged residents to adhere to Covid 19 regulations which are masking up, maintaining social distance and sanitising.

ZADHR director Dr Fambirai Calvin said it is part of their initiatives to support health workers in the fight against Covid 19 and will continue to do so until the epidemic is over.
