Community dwellers in Shurugwi North constituency joined hands in the renovations of Chironde clinic which was destroyed by hailstorm that left a trail of destruction of schools, clinic and homesteads, leaving several families homeless last month.
The Hailstorm destroyed Chironde primary and secondary schools, a clinic and several homesteads which were affected by heavy rains and buildings have been badly destroyed which resulted in loss of valuables including food and clothing.
Shurugwi north constituency ward 19 Councilor Brian Chiteme gave special thanks to community residents who helped with particular reference to key players who took the process to their necks the likes of Chivendera, Chimona Marufu Sithole, Cde Ndondo, and others.
“Chironde clinic roofing is progressing well and the community will never forget you Mkanya, baba vaChivendera, for your successful co-ordination and donation, Baba Chimona Marufu Sithole, Cde Ndondo, Va Vital, naVa PH, the elderly people of Chironde, and others not mentioned,” he said
