“As Zanu PF we value people’s health and we are concerned about the increase in the number of people who are testing positive to Covid 19, and we have increased our awareness to all citizens to take a lead in the vaccination exercise.
“I want to take this opportunity to inform all our members that all public clinics in the district are now offering free Covid 19 testing and vaccination and should take advantage of the exercise,” said Cde Maride.

In a survey conducted by The Sun news crew, many people are now flocking to various health centers in the province to get vaccinated. “A few weeks ago people were skeptic about the vaccine and feared myths about complications and after-effects which resulted in denial and criticism of the Chinese vaccine,” said a nurse at a council clinic.

However, most people are complaining about the slow services being offered at most centers in the CBD area, but the situation was different in Mkoba as the service was quick
Most people are complaining about queuing for longer hours from morning till almost closure of businesses, yet they are supposed to be at work.

Most vaccination centers in the province have received their vaccine batches including the rural parts of Gweru, Shurugwi, Zvishavane, and Kwekwe. Long queues were witnessed at Birchnough hospital in Gweru with some seeking their first jab, others their second jab, and others seeking COVID-19 testing.
