Gweru young agriprenuer born Munyaradzi Tinarwo has turned a new leaf encouraging the youth to venture into agriculture.

Tinarwo began his agriprenuership journey in 2019 and has testified that farming is one sector youths should consider joining.

“I ventured into farming with the help of my parents after they noticed that I loved farming. I had a small garden and a little fowl run, after seeing this they decided to help me to expand,” he said.
Tinarwo gained his popular nickname ‘Comaz’, during lockdown when he managed to penetrate the market by supplying people with fresh farm produce. The produce includes cabbage, rape, chomolia, green and red pepper.

“During the first 21 days lockdown I managed to increase productivity despite the challenges, I expanded from just farm produce to rearing layers for eggs. I have managed to install a borehole and sprinklers to make irrigation easy. Before I had to track to deliver products but now I managed to buy a car,” he added.

The young farmer encouraged the youths to work and not to fear dirt, as there is nothing embarrassing to enjoy the fruits of your labor.

“I believe that if all the youths join hands and work, drug abuse and crime in the community will decrease. It does not matter whether male or female everyone should join in agriprenuership. Youths have to sustain themselves to avoid teenage pregnancy and dependency, “alluded Tinarwo.
Over the few years, he has managed to become an icon and has become a role model to a lot of young farmers. He is now known to motivate youths to work, shun crime and drug abuse.
